MAGAZINE Stuff

Rants, Bile, Curmudgeonry

The following are magazine pieces from a disordered past and should not be read without a support group, several therapists, and a jug of Jim Beam. When empty, the jug can be used on the therapists unless it is one of those useless plastic ones.

Most of the following pieces were written on assignment for various magazines that didn't know better. They show if nothing else that the life of a freelance writer is, as approaches to starvation go, more interesting than most. Freelancing is a life fit for a king, embodying privilege without responsibility, often a total lack of merit, and the wonderful advantage that no one can talk back to you. The king however can behead people, such as editors.

The author takes no responsibility for inconsistency. Do not try any of this at home. The sheep are lying.
